# IoTFlows vs Redzone Live in minutes, not a 90-day program.

Redzone is a coached program: 90 days of core coaching, and weeks before a plant goes live.[1],[2],[3] IoTFlows puts its own sensor on each machine, reporting within minutes.

The short answer

## IoTFlows is live on a machine in minutes. Redzone runs a 90-day coached program.

“Redzone’s core coaching program runs 90 days.” Redzone FAQ.[1]

Redzone sends a coach to your floor to show your team where to improve.[7] IoTFlows puts it on the screen: the live rate against target and every stop with its reason, for every machine and shift. Your own supervisors know where to act from day one, with maintenance, spare parts and scheduling on the same platform, at a price you can see.

Going live

## Live in minutes. No program to run.

Mount it, calibrate it, done. SenseAi attaches magnetically in seconds and calibrates in under five minutes, with no IT ticket, and the machine reports the same day.

Redzone by QAD

Live in 60 days on its pricing page, 6 to 8 weeks on its blog, with a Redzone coach deployed to your floor.[2],[3],[7]

Machine data

## Data from every machine, not just the connected ones

A [SenseAi](https://www.iotflows.com/products/senseai) reads each machine from the outside, so a 1987 press and last year’s mill report uptime, stops and parts the same way, with no MES or PLC behind them.

Redzone by QAD

Connects to machine signals through an existing MES, OPC-UA or manual operator input.[5]

[See retrofit monitoring](https://www.iotflows.com/solutions/retrofit-machine-monitoring)

Hardware

## Built, not bought

We design SenseAi, SenseAi Embedded and BeamTracker ourselves: the electronics, the housing and every line of firmware, so we know exactly what each device can do. It decides when a machine runs, filters short pauses at the machine, and gets better with every signed update.

A kit assembled from other makers’ boxes runs firmware from several companies. Every box is one more thing to set up, update and fail, and no one owns the whole chain.

Redzone by QAD

Mentions sensors and “lightweight hardware”, with no make or model published.[6],[12]

[See SenseAi](https://www.iotflows.com/products/senseai)

Machine health

## Know a spindle is wearing before it fails

[SenseAi Embedded](https://www.iotflows.com/products/senseai-embedded) scores each machine’s health against its own healthy baseline, and a falling score can alert your team and open a work order in [Maintain](https://www.iotflows.com/platform/maintain) before the part fails.

Customer story

## Criollos Foods raised bagging-line productivity 35%

Criollos Foods packs bagged and canned foods in Medley, Florida. BeamTracker counts every bag on its lines against a target of 30 bags a minute. No outside coach: the data showed Criollos’ supervisors which operators were behind target, and they trained them on the line.

35%

more output on the bagging lines

92%

of lines hitting their target rate

20 min

faster product changeovers

### Challenge

Some operators ran a line at 20 bags a minute against a target of 30, and nobody could see who, on which product, or why. Changeovers between products went untimed.

### Solution

BeamTracker counts every bag and shows the live rate against target for every line, operator and product, with every stop classified. Supervisors coached the operators behind target and cut the slow changeovers.

> “Within weeks of targeted coaching based on the IoTFlows data, our newer operators were hitting 30 bags per minute. This platform has transformed how we manage our bagging operations.”

## Questions people ask

### What is the difference between IoTFlows and Redzone?

Redzone, owned by QAD, calls itself a connected workforce solution: a coached program for midmarket and enterprise plants, with a 90-day core coaching program and machine data from an existing MES, OPC-UA, sensors or operator input. IoTFlows starts with the machine: its own sensor on every machine, reporting within minutes of mounting, with maintenance, spare parts and scheduling on the same platform, published prices and a pilot on 10 to 25 machines with no commitment to buy, so your own team sees where to improve, without an outside coach.

### How long does Redzone take to go live?

Its own pages give different figures: live in 60 days on its pricing page, 6 to 8 weeks on its blog, and 12 weeks for its Scheduling module, with a Redzone coach deploying on site. A SenseAi attaches magnetically in seconds and calibrates in under five minutes, so a machine reports the day it is mounted.

### Does Redzone include maintenance and inventory?

Yes, in its separate Reliability module: work orders, preventive maintenance, spare-parts inventory and procurement. IoTFlows includes them in Maintain and Inventory: a work order opens from a downtime, an event, a meter or a request, and the parts leave stock when it closes. Maintain starts at $500 a month with unlimited users.

### Who makes Redzone’s sensors?

Redzone’s pages mention sensors and “lightweight hardware” but publish no make or model, and name OPC-UA as one way in. IoTFlows designs SenseAi, SenseAi Embedded and BeamTracker itself, the electronics, housing and firmware, with signed updates over the air.

### How much does Redzone cost?

Redzone prices by custom quote, based on the number of sites and modules, licensed per site with no per-user fees. IoTFlows publishes its prices: SenseAi is $149 per machine, once, and Pro is $119 per machine a month billed monthly, less on longer terms. For 10 machines on an annual plan paid upfront, the first year comes to about $12,182 with the sensors.

### Can I try Redzone before buying?

Redzone’s pricing page offers a tailored demo and publishes no trial. An IoTFlows pilot runs on 10 to 25 machines for four weeks with no commitment to buy, on the same sensors and dashboard you would keep afterwards.

### Who owns Redzone?

QAD closed its acquisition of Redzone on February 1, 2023, and now uses the joint name QAD | Redzone.

### Can IoTFlows run alongside Redzone?

Yes. The sensor mounts on the outside of the machine and needs no connection to the control, the PLC or an MES, and on the 4G/LTE router it stays off the plant network, so it can measure the same lines while a Redzone program runs.
