Shift Management
Define operational shifts to align production data with your working hours.
Overview
Shift Management allows organization owners and administrators to define their company's work shifts. By setting up shifts, you ensure that your production data, reports, and dashboards in IoTFlows align perfectly with your operational hours, providing more accurate and context-aware analytics.
How to Create and Manage Shifts
- Navigate to Organization Settings.
- Go to the Shifts section.
- Here, you can create as many shifts as you need. For each shift, you can define:
- Days of the week (e.g., Monday-Friday)
- Start and End Times (e.g., 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
- Timezone (e.g., ET)
You can create multiple shifts, such as a morning shift and a night shift, but you must ensure that there are no time overlaps between them.
Shifts and Data Reporting
- Real-Time View: When you open the dashboard, it will automatically detect and display data for the currently active shift. If the current time does not fall within any defined shift, the dashboard will default to showing data from the last 24 hours.
- Historical Data: You can easily navigate to any page, such as the Assets Overview, and use the date and shift selectors to view data from any previously captured shift.
It is important to configure your shifts correctly from the beginning. Future changes to shift definitions will not be applied retroactively to data that has already been archived.
