Redzone alternatives, compared from each vendor’s own pages
Six options for plants weighing Redzone, scored on what your plant cares about, starting with how soon you see your machines. Every rating rests on the company’s own published facts.
Filters drawn from each company’s ratings below, from its own published facts.

Live this month, not next quarter?
A SenseAi calibrates in under five minutes; Amper promises live data within 48 hours of the hardware arriving.[28] Redzone’s pricing page says 60 days.[1]

Data from the machine itself?
All three put their own sensors on the machine. Redzone connects to machine signals “via existing MES, OPC-UA, or manual operator input”.[4]

Going live
Live in minutes, not a 90-day program
A SenseAi attaches magnetically and calibrates in under five minutes, and the machine reports from then on. Your team sees its own machines the same day, with no program to finish first.

Why plants look
Why plants look past Redzone in its own words.
- Weeks to go live. 60 days on its pricing page, 6 to 8 weeks on its blog, and 12 weeks for its Scheduling module.[1],[2],[3]
- A coached program. Its core coaching program runs 90 days, with a coach deployed to the floor.[5],[9]
- Data from your systems. Machine signals come from an existing MES, OPC-UA or operator input; no sensor make or model is published.[4],[8]
- Your network, your problem. Its support terms exclude issues with the customer’s own internet connection, devices or network.[6]
- A demo, not a pilot. No trial is published; the answer to “demo or pilot” is a demo.[1]
- No price on its site. Pricing is based on the number of sites and modules deployed.[1]
When to stay: midmarket and enterprise plants that want a coached program for their frontline teams, with production, quality and maintenance on one connected workforce platform.[9],[10]

Production and maintenance, on one platform
A SenseAi attaches magnetically in seconds and calibrates in under five minutes, on any machine of any age, and counts parts from the same sensor; BeamTracker counts units on a line. Maintenance work orders, spare parts and the Production Scheduler run on the same platform.
Price: SenseAi $149 per machine, once, and Pro at $119 a month billed monthly, less on longer terms. Controller data through the edge device on Enterprise.

How to pilot
Test an alternative on the machines you already run.
- The same machines, the same shifts. Pick a cell that mixes old and new machines, and include the one everybody argues about.
- Two weeks of both numbers. Compare uptime and part counts side by side, shift by shift.
- Check the reasons on the floor. Walk the top three downtime reasons with the operators who logged them.
- Count the work around it. Note what still needs a spreadsheet, a second login or an IT ticket.
An IoTFlows pilot runs on 10 to 25 machines for four weeks, with no commitment to buy.
Customer story
Criollos Foods raised bagging-line productivity 35%
Criollos Foods packs bagged and canned foods in Medley, Florida. BeamTracker counts every bag on its lines against a target of 30 bags a minute.
- 35%
- more output on the bagging lines
- 92%
- of lines hitting their target rate
- 20 min
- faster product changeovers
Challenge
Some operators ran a line at 20 bags a minute against a target of 30, and nobody could see who, on which product, or why. Changeovers between products went untimed.
Solution
BeamTracker counts every bag and shows the live rate against target for every line, operator and product, with every stop classified. Supervisors coached the operators behind target and cut the slow changeovers.
Products
BeamTracker and SenseAi.

“Within weeks of targeted coaching based on the IoTFlows data, our newer operators were hitting 30 bags per minute. This platform has transformed how we manage our bagging operations.”

Questions people ask
It depends on whether you want a coached program or machine data in days. IoTFlows designs its own sensors and runs production monitoring, maintenance work orders, spare-parts inventory and a production scheduler on one platform, with published prices (Pro is $119 per machine a month billed monthly) and a four-week pilot. MachineMetrics reads CNC controls; Amper, now part of ECI, uses electrical sensors over cellular; Guidewheel clips current sensors onto the power cables; Evocon publishes per-machine OEE pricing; Vorne XL sells one line’s monitor outright.
Its own pages give three figures: live in 60 days on its pricing page, 6 to 8 weeks on its blog, and 12 weeks with dedicated coaching for its Scheduling module. Its core coaching program runs 90 days, with a Redzone coach deployed on site. A SenseAi attaches magnetically in seconds and calibrates in under five minutes, and reports from then on.
Its automotive page says it connects to machine signals through an existing MES, OPC-UA or manual operator input, with tablets mounted at each station; no sensor make or model is published. IoTFlows puts its own sensor on each machine, so running, stopped and part counts come from the machine itself, and reads controls and PLCs through its edge device on Enterprise.
Yes, in its Reliability module: work orders, preventive maintenance, a parts inventory with low-stock alerts and purchase requests. IoTFlows includes Maintain and Inventory on the same platform as its sensors, so a downtime, an event, a meter or a request opens a work order, and the parts leave stock when it closes.
Redzone publishes no price: pricing is based on the number of sites and modules, and its Productivity module is licensed per site with no per-user fees. Its only published agreement, archived in 2024, set a one-year term that renews automatically. IoTFlows is $149 per SenseAi, once, plus a subscription per machine: Pro is $119 a month billed monthly, less on annual and three-year terms.
QAD announced its acquisition of Redzone in a press release on its own site. Redzone still runs its own site at rzsoftware.com.
A SenseAi attaches magnetically in seconds and calibrates in under five minutes, and on the 4G/LTE router it stays off the plant network, so IoTFlows can run beside Redzone during a pilot: 10 to 25 machines for four weeks, with no commitment to buy.
Each company is rated from 0 to 10 on ten criteria (cost, time to first data, machine versatility, controller data, setup and IT effort, scheduling, maintenance work orders, spare-parts inventory, own hardware and published pricing) on one written rubric, using only facts from its own website, docs and price pages. Your weights decide how much each rating counts: the score is the weighted average of the ratings, times ten. The rubric and the fact behind every rating are on the page, with sources.
